OVERVIEW

Formative Assessments (sometimes called ongoing assessments) are tools used during instruction to collect data on specific and small student learning outcomes that can be used to immediately adjust instruction. Teachers use formative assessment to improve instructional methods and student feedback throughout the teaching and learning process.
